The Spring 2023 Scientific Meeting will be held at the Cotswold Water Park on 18th and 19th May. There will be an evening social event on 18th May.

Welcome to the SASWR Spring scientific meeting in the beautiful Cotswolds Water Park, set amongst hills, countryside trails and friendly villages. Uniquely in the region, we are ideally placed to network with bordering deaneries, including Oxford, Wessex and the West Midlands and this is reflected in our programme.

Our main programme offers something for everyone, or you could step out and test your regional anaesthetic knowledge in our dedicated Sonosite ultrasound suite, from the plan A blocks for beginners, to an expert’s view of those tricky little nerves that can be so elusive. Alternatively, spend some time wild swimming, walking or cycling around the lakes surrounding the venue or taking advantage of the venue’s spa.

The Cotswold Water Park Hotel is just 20 mins from the Great Western Hospital and the surrounding area is very popular with our department and their families. The modern and stylish hotel is offering preferential rates for you to stay after catching up with friends at our relaxed barbeque dinner on the Thursday night. The rates are available into the weekend so you and your family can take advantage of our local knowledge and explore the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds or the North Wessex Downs area of natural beauty. There are also plenty of bead & breakfast establishments in the area so we are spoilt for accommodation choice.

Our dynamic department know the best kept secrets of the area and we look forward to seeing you in May for what promises to be a brilliant SASWR conference.
